by George Lucas , Bob Dolman, and Joan D. Vinge is a book based on the movie by George Lucas. Students reading this book, can incorporate their ideas below as an extension to the discussion going on in the classroom:

Characters:

Who are the main characters in the story? What is each character like and how does the author convey their personality? List a few quotes from the story that support your description of the character and their personality.

Willow:

From What I've read so far Willow is the main character of the story. He has a wife,Kiaya, and two kids, Ranon and Mims. His kids found a baby floating in the river.When this baby was born an evil queen sent her death dogs to kill it's mother, find the baby and bring it to her. The death dogs came to Willow's village during a festival and tore the place up looking for the baby. The village's High Aldwin and a few others killed the two death dogs. Then Willow, his friend Meegosh, Burglekutt, and Vohnkar(with two of his warriors) left with the baby to give it to a Daikini.

Nice job getting here first! Ok, as the heading states, we're looking at characters first. Tell us a little bit more about the character of Willow. What is he like? How do you know? How does he feel about the problem(s) that he's faced with? How do you know? You've given a good plot summary in addition to some factual information about Willow, but let's dig down some more. Meegosh:Sticks right by the side of Willow even in the toughest of times.When the leader of the group says they should give the baby to a prisoner in a cage.When Willow stands up to the leader Meegosh sticks right by his side;even when the leader decided to leave.When the leader and the warriors just diched Willow and Meegosh I felt so mad. I hope that Meegosh will be a good friend and make sure that Willow gets the baby to the right person,but doesn't leave Willow out in the forest by himself. Meegosh is a friend of Willows that comforts him and also supports him in the long run!

Are Willows two children 1 boy, 1 girl; that LOVE the idea of keeping the baby!

Kiaya:

Is the wife of Willow! She has Never been away from willow and she is scared for him to go on his quest!

Madmardigan

Ok, so far, it looks like a few of you have the directions down. Black will be my color (Mr. Lindsay) while everyone else should choose a different color for themselves and stick to it. Also, the kind of character analysis I want is exactly what KL gave. I don't just want to know who the character is, I want to know what they're like. Tell us about their personality, how the author shows you their personality, and what you feel about them. Also, please don't change another person's post unless the change is to fix a simple spelling error.

Franjean:

Franjean is the leader of the brownie warriors who loores Willow into the trap by steeling the baby from Madmartigan. After the Brownies capture Willow and Meegosh, Franjean acts tough and as if he could kill them, but then when they untie Willow and Meegosh, Franjean is really scared of Willow. So Franjean really is'nt all That he says he is! HS

Please keep the smallest font used=small. don't go any smaller than that because it's hard to read. Also, there are some spelling mistakes in some of the above posts that I'm sure you guys can find. Oh, one more thing, someone was having fun with highlighting; use it for a purpose not just to paint with. If you get a chance, try to clean up some of the stray highlighting in the posts. Elora Danan:

She is the one who is to fufill the prophecy of saving the land from the evil queen, Bavmorda. Willow doesn't want to keep the baby, but Kiaya and the kids love her. Willow has to take Elora to safety.

H.Y.- Also... Elora Danan is a Daikini baby...according to willow. In Chapter 4 Willow gives the baby to Madamartagin, but he ends up getting her back! Just to let ya know- Lil Miss Alison

Sorsha:

She is the daughter of Bavmorda(Bavmorda is the evil wich) and she is on the bad guy side. Madmartagin saw her and said she is so beautiful.(He likes her a lot) When Sorsha saw Madmartagin with the baby she tried to get it but she failed and Willow eventualy got Elora Danan back.
